All about blonde

SPRING IS SOON HERE AND WITH IT COMES THE MOST POPULAR SEASON TO GET BLONDE. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE CREATED A GUIDE ON HOW YOU CAN ACHIEVE A FANTASTIC BLONDE TONE WITHOUT SPENDING A FORM IN THE HAIRDRESSER. WE ANSWER QUESTIONS THAT ARE WHY YOUR HAIR turns YELLOW WITH TIME AND WHAT ACTUALLY DOES A BLEACHING.

Can I colour my hair blonde?

There are different alternatives to lighten the hair, important to keep in mind is that hair colour can not lighten hair colour. As a result, you can not apply a lighter color from True Color to an already colored hair, the pigments in the hair color will be added and a darker result can be created depending on the initial position.

To get a clear blonde shade, you need to bleach your hair. If you bleach your hair at home, it can be difficult to get an even colour. Therefore, we recommend going to a hairdresser. October Stockholm has salons in Hudiksvall and Stockholm.

Lighten hair at home

If you have darker roots than the lengths, it is possible to apply a color from True Colour. Earlier we mentioned that colour can not lighten up colour but you have uncoloured roots, colour can lighten up to 2 shades to create a softer outgrowth. This can be a great option between your hairdresser visits to reduce your costs.

Bleach hair at home

It is possible to bleach the hair at home, then it is recommended to be careful not to apply either too little or too much product and an even amount. It is important to keep in mind that after bleaching, the hair is often yellow or orange. This is because the bleaching only lightens the hair and does not go in with any violet or ash pigments. When you want to go from dark to a lighter result, the underlying pigments appear. From brown to red, from red to orange and from orange to yellow. It is important to keep track of the process itself and make sure that the bleaching does not last too long.

Depending on how much the bleaching takes and what it looks like when you rinse it out, you use a toner that neutralizes those pigments. For example, if you have received a yellow result from the bleaching, you need to add violet pigments to neutralize the yellow ones. It always varies and we recommend contacting our free support so our hairdressers can guide you to the right hair color +46 (0) 10-350 0100.

Why does my hair get yellow?

It is not uncommon for new colored blonde hair to have a nice icy shade that over time becomes more dull and yellow. This may be because the toner in the hair is washed out and then the yellow pigments that lie underneath come back. If the hair is porous after being bleached over time, metals in water can more easily penetrate the hair and leave a yellow tone.

Keep your tone at home

Did you know that silver shampoo in the long run wears on the hair and makes your blonde shade lose its luster? It is not uncommon for a blonde shade to become more yellow or orange over time. We recommend maintaining a nice blonde shade at home between your hairdresser visits with a toner from True Colour. An example of toner to reduce yellow pigments is to mix LILAC and CLEAR in equal parts with Activator Vol. 5. Our toner gives maximum luster and shine since it is enriched with Ceramide A2, Macadamia oil and Cranberries.

The Colour Wheel

You should always have the color wheel as a starting point when you color your hair. True Colour is a professional hair colour that is adapted for use at home. Therefore, all colors are created to be able to mix with each other and create the desired result. By taking the opposite color in the circle, you get out which color neutralizes which shade. If your color is too yellow, violet pigments should be added, or too orange, ash (blue) pigments should be added to the color. It is important to remember that adding a violet or ash shade will not make your hair color blue or purple but it is only used to neutralize the pigments in the hair.
